IVVC's LEGO Robotic Workshop

Attention all 8th, 9th and 10th Graders:
IVVC’S Drafting and Design program is offering a workshop for students interested in LEGO Mindstorms NXT Robotics. During this four hour workshop, students will learn to design, construct, program, and use teamwork skills to build and test their creations utilizing LEGO’s motors and sensors to build robots. Students will also be using a computer to program the robots, using sound, light, and heat to perform different tasks and solve challenges. This workshop is a good introduction for students interested in pre-engineering. The program will give the basic steps to building and programming the robot, which is fun for anyone who enjoys LEGOs.
Students currently enrolled in 8th, 9th, and 10th grades are welcome to register. The Lego Robotic Workshop will be Saturday, February 27, 2010 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Indian Valley Vocational Center, 600 Lions Road in Sandwich, (815) 786-9873. A pizza and pop lunch will be provided.
