Health Occupation Exploring students have done some exciting things both inside and outside the classroom. Students had the opportunity to go to Decatur in March and participate in a variety of different HOSA competitions. Kaitlyn F. (Leland) placed 5th overall in Medical Photography.

Both A.M. and P.M. classes had the opportunity to go to the Kendall County Public Health department. There they explored the wide array of medical professions.

Students toured the Waubonsee Community College health campus in which both instructor and students talked about and demonstrated what each program entails.

Morning and afternoon classes also participated in the IVVC preschool career day.

We have had numerous guest speakers come and speak with the class some of which were, representatives from veterinary, chiropractor, hospice, National Guard, and more.

The students also have been job shadowing at a few of the local medical facilities.
