Personally, though I’ve only been going for a few days, I think Graphic Design is a very fun and engaging course to be taking. The first thing we did together was a few team building exercises. I liked this because it made it feel less like I had to be there, and more like I was around a bunch of my friends. Rather than being thrown straight into the mix of things, we were allowed a chance to meet the people we were going to be spending the rest of the school year with.

The first thing we learned/are learning about is Color Theory. It didn’t appear to be a favorite among my peers, but I personally thought it was quite interesting, learning about the colors on the color wheel, which colors complement one another, and what colors inspire specific emotions.

Overall, the atmosphere of the room is friendly, and full of a bunch of creative minds and friendly faces. I’m very lucky to have chosen this class over the others because I certainly don’t think I could have run into a friendlier environment. It makes me look forward to whatever is to come in the future of my Graphic Design class.

The teacher, much like the students, is very creative and friendly. Ms. Gibbs shows up to the class every day looking like she’s motivated and ready to teach, which I think brings a lot of morale and joy to the classroom. She helps make the two and a half hours spent there every day fly by.

In conclusion, Graphic Design is by far the highlight of my day every day. It makes me look forward to waking up in the morning and shoving off to school, regardless of whatever may be ahead of me that day. The environment is one that could switch my mood to blue and sad to joyful and inspired! I look forward to any project I’m assigned, or any group exercise we do. I couldn’t have asked for a better teacher, or group of classmates to work with.
