On Friday, November 17, Sports Medicine students participated in the first ever Knee Injury Fair. Students were assigned a knee injury that they had to research and present to the class in a ‘science fair’ style display. The students also had to include a hands-on component, which varied from a taping demonstration to ligament tests.

After doing a practice run with classmates, students presented their injury material to Mrs. Edwards, Mrs. Lissman and Mr. Barbic, who evaluated not only the content, but how it was delivered. Students from the Health Occupations, CNA, and Welding & Fabrication classes also attended, where they were able to ask questions and listen to shortened presentations.

All students who participated did an excellent job, and Sports Medicine instructor Mrs. Kreiter hopes to make this an annual event.
