Lego Drill Encourages Effective Communication
Law enforcement students participated in a radio communication drill today. The goal of the drill was to build a 94 piece Lego using the box, directions, teamwork and two-way radios.
The hitch is…the box and directions are in one room and the Lego pieces are in another - and only connected by a team member with a radio. One member reads the instructions and the others help build the Lego. They use descriptions, frame of reference, and of course the directions. Only a few were able to complete the car or spaceship. After about 90 minutes, we let the teams meet and finish the Lego.
