Tours Spotlight Healthcare Careers
Health Occupations students have had an eventful semester. They have learned infection control and patient safety, as well as had the opportunity to experience fire extinguisher training with IVVC’s Fire Science program.
The class took a field trip to Waubonsee Community College and toured the various health career programs offered at the health campus in Aurora. This experience allowed students to speak with direct faculty members and to speak with a panel of related healthcare careers.
The students also had the opportunity to go to the University of Natural Health Sciences and learn about a variety of healthcare careers as well as have hands-on experiences with a human cadaver.
On the radar: Students are getting ready to get out next semester to job shadow at the local hospital and a variety of health care facilities.
