The course assists students by providing a direct, practical approach that emphasizes careful, complete explanations and actual on-the-job applications. Some of those applications include: learning to use a calculator, estimating, measuring, using graphs, charts, tables and working with data, lines and angles, review and survey of arithmetical operations, common fractions, fundamentals of algebra and geometry. This course features a lab component where students will apply these skills, while identifying and evaluating personal goals, priorities, aptitudes, and interests with the goal of making informed decisions about their careers.  (02061A000)
