Work or Play?
| We were asked by a Kendall County non-profit organization called CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) if we would be interested in designing and building a playhouse to be raffled off in the Spring for a good cause. With the year being different from most years economically, we said, "Sure, why not?" | ![]() |

It is a 6' x 10' structure with the look of an expensive two-story on the outside facade, but with one open floor on the inside. It has a turret on the left front corner, a bay window with a sweeping copper roof on the right side, a return gable on the front with shakes, and other features you might see on a custom home. |
| The proceeds will help abused and neglected children, the students are learning from it (and are doing a great job!), and a child ends up with a playhouse - a win-win for everyone! | ![]() |

We temporarily jumped back to the storage building and shingled it, and we may do the soffit/fascia and siding after returning from Spring Break. Regardless, we will be doing siding on a barn for a great friend of our school before year's end. |
If you are interested, raffle tickets can be purchased for $10 each or 3 for $25 by calling Jerre Hendricksen at CASA -- 630/553-8660. The drawing will be held during Hometown Days in Yorkville in September.
