Prerequisite:  Good attendance record

This course follows the guidelines of the Illinois Department of Public Health to achieve a certificate as a Certified Nurse Assistant. Forty hours of hands-on clinical time is required. A fingerprint criminal background check is also required. Students in this program are expected to participate in routine activities on a daily basis that involve physical movement and enhance health-related fitness. They will work cooperatively in groups demonstrating decision making, leadership skills and responsible behaviors. Students will learn how physical fitness and healthy living affect workplace performance and success. Students must be able to do heavy lifting, pushing and pulling. (14051A001)
