Skills Gained Through Hard Work and Dedication
It is so hard to believe that our year in the Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) program is coming to an end! The students have completed their rotation at a local nursing home, and have become competent and confident in their skill sets. They are now able to bathe, transfer, ambulate, shower, do oral care, as well as nail care, and vital signs. The growth in the students both mentally and professionally is something we at IVVC are so proud of. Because of this, many of our students have already been approached about starting their CNA careers at the local nursing home!
Looking ahead, Illinois State Board CNA exams will be held the weekend of May 16-18th. We had great success this year. With hard work and dedication, 33 of 35 students are eligible to sit for the certification exam. We are excited to see where the future takes these bright young ladies.
