CNA Students Establish Basis of Info, Collaborate with Fire Science and Health Occ.
The CNA students have been busy this year learning about the importance of hand washing, communication, teamwork, applying Personal Protective Equipment, and now we are beginning to learn how to apply a gait belt in order to ambulate and transfer their patients in a safe and secure manner. We just finished our unit on anatomy and physiology which will be our basis of information as we move forward to learn how the body changes with aging.
We also learned how to appropriately use a fire extinguisher in an outdoor setting with the Fire Science class. We engaged in a team building day with the Health Occupations class which focused on communication, patience and teamwork.
