Launch the media gallery 1 player - media #11Automotive Tech is a very hands-on experience. I enjoy what I've learned so far. I've learned a lot about vehicles and how to use tools. You're not just in the shop - you also learn from books that are very informational, and you can always look back on them.
So far this year we've learned how to install and dismount a tire, as well as balancing and repairing a tire. This process is very engaging and is really good to know if you're looking into automotives for your future.
The next process we will learn is how to properly install brakes and rotors on a vehicle.
I went into Auto Tech because I wasn't sure what I wanted to do with my life after high school. I knew I was into cars and worked on them with my family, but I went into this for hands-on experience and to really see if I wanted to do this the rest of my life. I really enjoy this class and I'm learning a lot very quickly. I found out that I truly enjoy auto technology and want to pursue this as a career.
