Cassie Family Foundation donates $26,000 to Welding Program
The welding program at the Indian Valley Vocational Center received a $26,000 donation from the Cassie Family Foundation in a ceremony at IVVC on October 17. Kris Cassie and his wife Becky presented the check to welding instructor Tedd Moody's class, which includes their son Jacob and around half of the nearly 100 students involved in welding at IVVC this year.
The monetary donation will go toward new equipment for the program, including a new plasma table and an engine driven welder. IVVC thanks the Cassie family for their generous donation and we look forward to the equipment helping students further develop their skills and simulate real life conditions in the field like pipe-fitting and iron working.
