Projects in Programming, Game Design, & 3D Modeling
Salutations IVVC Community,
Hopefully everyone is enjoying the heat wave we have been getting as of late.
A lot has been happening in Computer Programming and Game Design. I decided to break it down into categories.
Computer Programming
Students began making codes using Graphic User Interfaces. They have also begun to work on their end of the year projects for coding. They have one of two projects to complete. The first focuses on working with Law Enforcement and searching databases. The second is making a graphic user interface for online ordering while working with Culinary Arts. There have been very few setbacks and the students are grasping the information quickly.
Game Design
After spending the first part of the year creating objects, scenery, etc., using Blender, we have transitioned to putting the creations together. Students have been working with the Real Time developing software, Unity. This is a very common gaming development platform that is used by professionals to create many games on the market today.
3D Modeling
This is another end of the year project that students got a jump start on. The theme of the project is entitled the Power of Nature. It is an exercise to show how the students developed with modeling. So far, we have had volcanoes, desert explorations and mushroom villages. It has been intriguing seeing how the students take what they know and expand on it. This will also be the fourth 3D model for a majority of the students. I am eager to see how they turn out.
