Student Services
Heather Lissman - Paraprofessional
My name is Mrs. Lissman, and I facilitate student services at IVVC. I have been in this position since 2015. I earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in English at Illinois State University and have my teaching certificate for grades 6-12. After graduating college, I taught English at Wheaton Warrenville High School. My next position was working with international students at John Marshall Law School in Chicago and also at Northwestern University. I sum up my work experience by saying I have taught lots of different types of people lots of different types of things! Interacting with students and helping them be successful at IVVC, as well as in the future, is extremely rewarding. I love working here and assisting any student from all of our programs.
The Student Services Room at Indian Valley Vocational Center is a quiet place to come for help. Mrs. Lissman is available to assist students with tests and homework. Several computers are also available so if students have an assignment that requires a computer, they can work on it in the Student Services classroom. Mrs. Lissman works with students who have special accommodations, as well as any students who need her assistance. Our goal at IVVC is that all students have a rewarding experience. Using the Student Services Room can help us serve the students to achieve success in their program at IVVC.
