Health Occupations students have had an eventful semester. They have learned infection control and patient safety, and had the opportunity to experience fire extinguisher training with IVVC’s Fire Science program. They also had the opportunity to team up with EMT for a pig heart/lung dissection. Students have all gone through their CPR certification.
Students are gearing up for a field trip to Waubonsee Community College in which they will tour the various health career programs offered at the health campus in Aurora. This experience will allow them to speak directly with faculty members as well as speak with a panel of related healthcare careers. The students also will have the opportunity to go to Aurora University and tour the simulated cadaver lab as well as explore the campus and offered programs.
