Launch the media gallery 1 player - media #5Fire Science students spent a couple of weeks learning different techniques to rescue themselves if they found themselves in this sort of situation. Every student learned what a MAYDAY stands for and how to call one if needed. The students learned rescue techniques ranging from bailing out of a window and onto a ladder, getting untangled from wires, and breaking through drywall to get to a safe area. This training taught students how to stay calm and work through the emergency.
