Launch the media gallery 1 player - media #5The past few months have been a great few for the IVVC Construction Trades class here in Sandwich. The students have gotten to install sheathing, do electrical work, and handle the finishing touches to be ready to side as soon as possible. The house is now a tall, standing, secure structure, and without the help of each one of the students in the class this couldn’t have been done. Everybody has played a part in building the house.
Students choose between a variety of different tasks to be done that day, and this promotes a healthier mindset within each one of them. They may not want to be up on the roof, but they could help downstairs with the electrical, or vice versa.
Students will continue to make progress on this house until it is 100% done. It has been a great journey to see the students grow and learn and prepare for the world of trades.
