Successful Start for CNA Students
In these pics, CNA students have fun learning to communicate better! The blindfolded group leader puts the puzzle together using only verbal directions of peers.
Proper handwashing is practiced in the CNA lab.
Students in the CNA program at IVVC have been very busy with learning and grasping new material and skills that will aid them in becoming a certified nursing assistant (CNA). The students have learned Illinois and Federal laws regarding healthcare, privacy, elder abuse, and proper handwashing. The CNA students have successfully passed their first check-off skill in the program, “handwashing”.
This week, students are preparing to apply personal protective equipment (PPE) including gowns, masks, face shields, and gloves. This will begin our lesson on infectious diseases and the chain of infection.
