Launch the media gallery 1 player - media #2We are excited to start a new year here at IVVC. Both first and second-year students enjoy fun projects and assignments. First year students are starting their year with Adobe Photoshop. Their main objective is to get comfortable with the computers and the software. Ms. Fehling loves to make assignments, so they have been doing a lot of practice!
As second-year students, we don’t feel much different, but we do have a lot more freedom and flexibility in class. This year, we are starting with a review in Photoshop. We’ve been working on a self-paced curriculum to refresh our brains and give us insight on some new features Photoshop has with its latest updates. Being a second-year student here gives you a lot of opportunities and more of a sense of real-world experiences. We do live work on a consistent basis for real clients. We have jobs in-house for several of our IVVC Classes, Somonauk High School and even the Sandwich Park District. So far, almost every second-year student has been given a live job already!
Some schools don’t really teach you how to prepare for real life, but IVVC Graphics does - especially as a second-year student. Even first-year students are able to take on live work if they are caught up with their regular assignments and show a willingness to dive in. Kids here just have to make sure they are keeping up with the projects given and using their time effectively.
The result of working hard and getting our work done is a relaxed, laid back environment where we make new friends, climb out of our shells, and learn! We are all looking forward to a great year!
