What's new with EMS? The EMT students and first responders have just finished with their pharmacology chapter!

The students have been studying different medications and drug doses while learning about the different types of routes and forms.

The pharmacology lab introduced many new skills for the students to improve on. We've been practicing how to give a patient an intramuscular injection with our injection simulators, and practicing how to draw up medications. We've also been previewing labs outside our scope of practice, such as how to place an intraosseous (IO). Skills learned today may save lives tomorrow!
