Indian Valley Vocational Center has been awarded a grant by the DeKalb County Community Foundation.

A $4,500 donation was delivered to IVVC on May 4 by DeKalb County Community Foundation Board Member Mark Mannebach. The Community Needs Grant will be used to purchase capital to support the Construction Trades program.

The Construction Trades program is being rebuilt and will open for the 2018-2019 school year. Students will receive OSHA 10 safety training, then have hands-on experiences in survey, rough and trim carpentry, roofing and siding, masonry, concrete form, and electric. In addition, students will explore the areas of architecture, Computer Aided Design (CAD), and blueprint reading.

IVVC wishes to express their sincere gratitude to DeKalb County Community Foundation for their support!
