Students Enjoy Unique Experiences at Aurora University
On October 22, Sports Medicine students visited Aurora University and had the opportunity to tour campus, meet with faculty, and learn about the admission process.
Students had the unique opportunity to view synthetic cadavers, which students could relate to content learned in class. The Exercise Science department presented career paths in that field, and showed students a variety of equipment used for testing purposes, such as a dynamometer, which measures grip strength, and a force plate that is used to measure a person’s vertical jump. Lastly, the Athletic Training faculty spoke to the students about electric muscle stimulation and allowed them to experience a demonstration treatment.
We are very grateful to Aurora University for allowing us back onto campus, and for showing students future career paths and possibly a college destination!
