Auto Body Repair
Instructor: Blake Winters
The Auto Body Repair class at IVVC is a comprehensive program for collision repair and automotive paint refinishing. It also encompasses safety practices and safety equipment, as well as EPA standards. First year students will get a basic knowledge of collision repair, from damage assessment to the final detailing of the vehicle. Second year students will continue with the previous year’s topics and get advanced training on structural repairs, as well as estimating repairs. All students will have the opportunity to work hands on in a body shop environment that will show them the process of taking a repair from the estimate to the delivery of the vehicle back to its owner. The IVVC body shop strives to provide a professional shop-like atmosphere. Students enrolled in this program will be expected to participate in routine physical activities on a daily basis that foster the development of movement skills and enhanced health-related fitness.
